Restoration of Driving Privileges
To determine if you are eligible to file a Petition for Restoration or Restricted License you must obtain a transcript of your driving record and Compliance Summary from the Division of Motor Vehicles. Instructions & Procedure for Completing the appropriate Petition for Restoration or Restricted Operator’s License:
You must be eligible to file a Petition for Restoration or Restricted License. To determine your eligibility, please refer to your Division of Motor Vehicles Compliance Summary.
Habitual Offender (No underlying alcohol related driving offenses)
Petition for Restoration of Driving Privilege Habitual Offender (Form cc1465)
Habitual Offender with an underlying alcohol related driving offense (NO DUI:3rd Offense Conviction)
Petition for Restoration of Driving Privilege Habitual Offender (Form cc1465)
Habitual Offender with a DUI:3rd Offense Conviction (both forms are required):

Petition for Restoration of Driving Privilege Third Offense (Form cc1470)
DUI:3rd Offense Conviction (Not adjudicated as a Habitual Offender)

*Any Petitioner whose transcript reflects an alcohol related driving offense will be referred to the Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program (VASAP) to undergo an evaluation prior to the hearing date.
FEES:
A Filing Fee of $84 and $24 for Service Fees must be presented with each Petition and due at the time of filing. *Please see our payment policy.
